Twenty-seven individuals participated in the Future Leaders Institute held 6-8 August 2010 at the JW Marriott Hill Country in San Antonio that was sponsored by Champion Exposition Services. The Future Leaders Program was facilitated by Erick Burton, CSP, president of Burton Resources. Burton is known as "The Leadership Accelerator™" and has partnered with hundreds of corporations and associations as a professional speaker, facilitator, executive coach and author. The program focused on the unique skills and thinking patterns most vital for leadership.
The 2010 Institute graduates are: Mary Adler-Kozak, CEM; Kristy Breaux; Noreen Burke; Jennifer Carr, CEM; Kimberly Castanuela; Jason Cedrone; Amy Durkin, CEM; Bartizan's Chris Eisenberg; Jim Ellsworth; Estelle Kerr; Sarah Lawler; Sheila LeMaster, CMP; Anytra Lowe, CEM; Thomas Malek; Greg McCormack; Rachel Marks; Tom Markusson, CEM; Tamma Merritt, CMP, CEM; Manolita Moore; Judith Olsen; Andrew Ortale; DeVonne Parks, CEM; Tracy Phillips; Melissa Smith; John Toner; Alyssa Rosinski; and Susana Sanchez Seabrook.
Each Institute participant has been matched with a mentor – a current industry leader whose responsibilities will be to provide support and guidance. In addition, each of the future leaders will now be invited to play a role in IAEE, either at the chapter level or as a member of an IAEE task force, committee or subcommittee.
